Why see Blondie and Garbage?
The Rage and Rapture Tour
Blondie and Garbage fans rejoice! The veteran glam rockers led by Debbie Harry are set to release their 11th studio album Pollinator this May, having worked with Charli XCX, Sia, Johnny Marr for a new sound, ahead of their single release Fun. They'll be joined by Scottish punk-indie collective Garbage, fresh from their release of their 2016 album Strange Little Birds. This limited engagement tour kicks off July in California, before wrapping in Dallas, hitting in , ,
Led by the inimitable and ethereal Debbie Harry, Blondie found its feet as a punk-pop phenomenon in New York City's Wave Scene in the mid-70's and have remained popular for the past 40 years. Blondie are set for a full docket this year with other live tours, starting with supporting Phil Collins in June in Dublin, and joining Cyndi Lauper late in the summer in Australia and New Zealand.
Garbage's main appeal is the winning combination of Manson's fierce stage persona, a distinct and snarly contralto vocal range, and clashing instrumentals, Garbage's intention is to make pop-like songs which mixed a variety of genres, with Marker himself saying that the band wanted to "take pop music and make it as horrible sounding as we can."
