Entertaining but a lot of tech problems
I enjoyed this production of CATS. Sometimes the mics weren’t on
when they were supposed to be, sometimes they were on when they
weren’t; I heard one “cat†exclaim how he “messed that upâ€.
But overall the cast was good. The non lead cats were exceptional
and really brought life to the piece. That being said, I must call out
one lead “cat†for being unusually wooden and non expressive. That
was Mister Mistoffelees. I have seen other performances and this
version of that character was the opposite of “magicalâ€. He pretty
much went through the motions and looked at the floor throughout
his routines.
That being said, I enjoyed the night, the show was not broadway
perfection (the moon was distractingly painted in the back as anything
but a circle) , but definitely worth a look. ... Read more

Loved it
I knew nothing of CATS and bought tickets on a lark for my mom for Christmas. I was advised “there is not plot, just enjoy†and I guess that was helpful! Amazing dancing and chorus engagement in their movements and vocals - the stars were extremely well cast. It was fun and funny with cats creeping through the crowd in parts. And there is a plot actually! It is just extremely simple and sweet, clearly not the point of the show. If you want to just be entertained with an excellent live orchestra, world class dancers and singers in costumes that help you suspend reality, this is your show. ... Read more

Cats is the CATS Meow!
Just saw CATS at Hanover theater in Worcester.
Phenomenal, excellent dance, voices, fantastic 'Memories' climax, what a voice.
The nicest thing was when one of the actors smiled and waved at a little 5 year old girl wearing a CAT costume. All in all an exhilarating performance!
